(Fort Smith, Arkansas, February 21, 2002) - ABF U-Pack® Moving will give away a free move this April as part of the "Win A Free Move" Sweepstakes. The event and associated advertising campaign are designed to increase awareness of the unique, money-saving U-Pack moving alternative.
Jim Ingram, ABF Director of Quotation Services explains, "Customers preparing for a long-distance move know about rental trucks and full-service moving companies, but they are often unaware that a third option exists. With U-Pack, customers pack and load the trailer, but they do not have to drive a truck, pay for gas or worry about equipment breakdowns. Instead, one of ABF's professional drivers moves the trailer to the customer's new home." Ingram added, "Through this sweepstakes, we hope to better educate the public about our convenient and economical U-Pack moving service."
Consumers can register for the contest by requesting a free U-Pack quote and completing an online entry form at www.upack.com. Contest entries must be submitted by March 31, 2002, and the contest winner will be announced in early April. The "free move" prize includes the standard U-Pack Moving service. ABF will move the winner out of state to anywhere in the continental United States that ABF serves on a direct basis. The free move must be completed by December 31, 2002. To promote the sweepstakes, U-Pack will partner with several popular moving- and home-related Web sites including homestore.com, moving.com, apartmentguide.com, movingcenter.com and apartments.com.
