(Fort Smith, Arkansas, April 24, 2000) - ABF U-Pack® Moving introduces its completely redesigned Web site at www.upack.com. The site integrates FaceTime® Communication's real-time customer service application that provides access to the AOL Instant Messaging Network, to offer the customer the opportunity to engage in a live chat with a U-Pack Moving specialist. Users simply click the chat icon on the U-Pack home page to start a dialogue with a company representative.

Another new feature of the U-Pack Web site is immediate price quotations available 24 hours a day for many customers. Price information is sent directly to the user via e-mail.

Bob Davidson, ABF's Vice President-Marketing and Pricing, stated, "The U-Pack Web site redesign is part of ABF's ongoing efforts to integrate the latest technologies into our operations to save our customers time and money. We recognize that consumers today want accurate product and pricing information quickly."

The redesigned U-Pack site offers improved navigation options for the customer as well. Customers may trace their shipments online 24 hours a day and explore the moving resource center for tips and industry links. Also, they may review pages specific to commercial, military, residential and student moves, as well as employee relocations.

Additional enhancements are planned for the U-Pack site. For instance, early next month, an automated reservation system will be added, which will allow customers to reserve a trailer and confirm a move date, 24 hours a day, online.

U-Pack provides a cost-effective alternative to the high price of full-service movers. U-Pack pricing is comparable to that of truck rental, without the hassle of driving the truck. ABF furnishes the trailer and the customer packs it. One of the company's professional drivers then moves the trailer to the customer's new residence where the customer then unloads. Customers are charged only for the space actually used in the trailer.
